The Parlor Boutique

It was a couple of weeks ago now, when i photographed for style in the city: Birmingham, that i came across a display of 'The Parlor Boutique' jewellery in the Mailbox. I literally stood gawping at all the luscious pieces thinking 'oh god, when will i afford pretty things?' to then have it pointed out to me by a friend that they (unlike the other jewellery stands surrounding) were 'topshop prices', but better quality, alot more beautiful and unique!  So i was sure to pick up a business card and check out their website. Below ive posted a selection of things on my wish list, and the website address so you can mooch and create your own =)

Eugenio Recuenco & Rammstein

I can't stress how much i love the art of Eugenio Recuenco, he is without a doubt my favourite photographer and is always an inspiration. I love his dark and pretty, theatrical approach to sets - they're the world's i would thrive to live in...Dear Santa, this christmas i would like you to make my life one big theatrical, twisted little fantasy like a Recuenco scene ^^

Feast you're eyes on these . . .

(Below) Only in a Recuenco fairy-tale would Prince Charming jump start Sleeping beauty to wake her. Modern Romance at its best.

As well as having done some photographs for Rammstein in the past, Recuenco was the photographer behind their new album art. Pictured below are the sexual, twisted, theatrical fantasy lands of rammstein & Recuenco combined. Match made in heaven.

For more exquisite photographs i strongly recommend you visit his online portfolio www.eugeniorecuenco.com

Katy Kat Club

The only reason i ever watch the award shows is to see the outfits so this year i went away inspired. In comparison to her outfit last year, 2009 wins hands down! The sexy lace, stockings, beads, luscious threads and her opening medley in a cabaret style was poppin to the eyes & ears....

Andrey Yakovlev and Lili Aleeva

I recently came across an article on Trendhunter.com about Andrey Yakovlev and Lili Aleeva's ‘Women to Women’ fashion photography collection. The elegant and moody images first attracted me with their 40s vibe and i then went onto adoring the 'Supersize Curled Bangs' -as the article's entitled- I really like the 'cylinder on your head' look from back in the day (like i was around then?), but doubt i could pull it off as good as someone like VV brown or these lovely ladies, as it needs a luscious wardrobe to go along with it.

'Women to Women'

So seeing as the article said "Every time I encounter their work, I’m floored" I decided to google them and came across their online portfolio. Some of their other series got my inspiration-buds tingling, but most of them seemed creatively dull in comparison (I tend to like alot of theatrics when it comes to fashion photography). Heres a few of the others that caught my attention;

'Cabaret'

'Tramway'
